Advanced Airbrushing: Real Fire

Students must attend the Custom Airbrush Techniques course before attending any Advanced Airbrush courses.

PPG’s Custom Airbrushing – Real Fire course builds on the fundamentals learned during the Basic airbrushing course. Learn proper technique and color use to create lifelike flames using PPG’s Vibrance Collection^®. Students will airbrush Yellow / Orange / Red Real Fire on one-half of a Black panel and Blue Real Fire on the other half of the panel. On a second panel, students will choose any color and let their imaginations run wild. Learn to use templates and freehand airbrush strokes to create their own unique version of Real Fire.

Gravity-feed airbrushes will be provided for student’s use during class. If desired, students may bring their own gravity feed airbrush.

Who Should Attend

All PPG Certified Refinish Technicians who have completed the Basic Airbrushing course or have previous Airbrushing experience.

Course Objectives

Instruct technicians on the fine art of Real Fire.

Topics Covered

• The use of Vibrance Collection^® products
• The use of Envirobase^® High Performance products
• The use of Deltron^® 2000 Basecoats and DBC500

Check with the Business Development Center you plan to attend as to which
paint system they will be offering.

• Learn the proper use of Stencils and Templates and airbrush strokes

Practice exercises are subject to change depending on student and instructor interests.

Students may bring their own gravity fed airbrush or one will be provided for use during the class.
