Refinish Preparation Specialist

As a core program of PPG training, this program trains entry-level automotive and fleet technicians in personal safety, equipment, and fundamental preparation procedures of the repair and refinish process.

Who Should Attend

Entry-level assistant technicians that will use PPG products and processes and have never received formal PPG training.

Course Objectives

  • To train entry-level technicians to assist automotive and fleet body and refinish technicians
  • To develop the skills of entry-level technicians in the areas of substrate cleaning, sanding, masking, bumper cover and plastic parts preparation and keeping a clean shop
  • To certify the technician in EPA 6H Area Source Rule requirements
