PPG Industries is proud supporter of the Collision Repair Education Foundation (CREF). As a 2017 Industry Partner, PPG training and sales representatives recently attended the Spring CREF Career Fair held in Pittsburgh, PA on April 19th at the Sheraton Inn Station Square. Career fairs connect vocational students from secondary and post-secondary schools with potential employers from the refinish industry.
During this exciting event, PPG Refinish employees had the opportunity to interact with over 150 vocational students from schools across Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia. Students who visited the PPG Booth talked with PPG Refinish instructors and sales associates to learn about recent waterborne product technology, discussed additional training opportunities and explored employment prospects in the refinish industry.
Director of Training, Randy Cremeans stated, “PPG is committed to vocational education programs across North America that provide high schools and colleges with the training they need to educate a new generation of collision repair technicians.”
With an extensive network of PPG Business Development Centers across the nation, PPG continues to be an educational bridge between future technicians and the collision repair industry.
