The new clearcoat is designed to provide excellent gloss and appearance while meeting National Rule requirements. In addition, MC2800 EuroPlus Speed Clear offers fast cycle times including a short 15-minute bake option and the ability to air-dry and buff the same day.

“As part of the Omni Plus product line, MC2800 EuroPlus Speed Clear helps enhance a repair shop’s throughput and productivity while delivering excellent results,” said Jennifer Boros, PPG segment manager, solvent-borne brands. “This new clearcoat’s fast dry times and exceptional finish—all at an economical price—make it the kind of product our value-focused repair shops will want to incorporate into their refinish systems to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.”

According to Boros, MC2800 is flexible and easy to use. It employs a simple 2:1 mix ratio and can adjust to production conditions such as the size of the repair job or the temperature of the facility with the use of two available Omni Plus activators, MH2880 and MH2890 High Temperature, for specific job requirements.

The Omni refinish system offers a complete range of products from pre-treatments to topcoats. Omni Plus products are an extension of the Omni basecoat system and consist of high-strength toners, special effect diamond toners, a basecoat converter and a mixing clear—all intended to elevate the color matching accuracy, hiding power and performance of the Omni line.
