Dave Perewitz’s custom V-TwinSTRONGSVILLE, Ohio – January 27, 2012 – Motorcycles, celebrities, paint products, custom-painted car hoods, and much more will all be part of the PPG display (booth 876) at the upcoming twelfth annual V-Twin Expo in Cincinnati, Ohio. The show, February 4-6, at the Duke Energy Convention Center is sponsored by Easyriders, one of the nation’s most popular biking magazines and is open exclusively to motorcycle retailers and manufacturers.

Two of the best-known members of the custom motorcycle world are teaming up with PPG for the show. Dave and Jody Perewitz will be in attendance at the PPG booth Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to noon to greet fans, sign autographs, and discuss their painting techniques using Vibrance Collection® custom finishes and Envirobase® High Performance products.

Dave Perewitz is one of America’s most celebrated motorcycle builders and customizers and is an ardent PPG enthusiast. He works out of his Bridgewater, Massachusetts, shop, Perewitz Cycle Fabrication, turning out one-of-a-kind creations and signature flame designs that have earned him the nickname “King of Flames.” Perewitz has competed in two Biker Build-Offs on The Discovery Channel and recently ventured into the custom car world building a street rod with Factory Five Racing and Street Rodder magazine.

Jody Perewitz, Dave’s daughter, is a key part of the Perewitz team, making her own mark on motorcycles. She, too, builds custom bikes, painting them in her own distinctive style, and designs all the Perewitz brand merchandise. Jody is also a notable rider: she recently set a motorcycle speed record at the Bonneville Salt Flats going 203.11 mph on a custom American V-Twin bike built by her team, Team J’Witz. The bike will be on display at the PPG booth.

PPG is also featuring an assortment of car hoods painted by PPG’s elite automotive artists. The hoods were shown at PPG’s exhibit at the recent SEMA show in Las Vegas. In addition, speed shapes painted in an array of Vibrance colors will be displayed.
