Fans of the Ford Bronco will have reason to celebrate in 2020, when the sixth generation of the iconic nameplate will launch following a 24-year hiatus. But for those who want the real thing— an old-school Bronco equipped with modern-day components—there’s Velocity Restorations. Located in Pensacola, Fla., Velocity Restorations is a high-end, classic car restoration center that specializes in classic Ford Broncos manufactured between 1966 and 1977.

While the company’s name emphasizes “restoration,” it’s finished products go well beyond the standard definition of the word. “Our goal is to make these vehicles better than the day they rolled off the assembly line back in the ’60s and ’70s,” explains Brandon Segers, co-owner of Velocity Restorations. What customers typically get is a customdesigned, completely rebuilt vintage Bronco.

All of these top-end components are assembled within a 22,000-squarefoot facility, which is a far cry from the company’s humble beginnings. “In 2006, I bought my first 1976 Ford Bronco and tore it down in my garage,” says co-owner Stuart Wilson. Fueled by a desire to make each restoration their greatest achievement, the process begins by sitting down with the customer. “There’s no template to follow here,” explains Wilson. “We pride ourselves on giving our customers exactly what they want. All they need is a vision and we can build it.”
