PPG announced in the 2016 PPG corporate sustainability report that the company plans to completely phase out the use of lead in its coating products by 2020. A small number of products in our DELFLEET^® Evolution and DELFLEET ESSENTIAL^® brands still contain lead and these products will no longer be produced after December 31, 2019.

As a standard procedure, the Commercial Refinish color group matches colors with lead-free toners, but on occasion, still receives requests for lead-containing formulas. To ensure we meet our lead free requirement by 2020, the Commercial Refinish color lab will no longer match new colors utilizing leaded toners, effective January 1, 2018.

Please work with your local sales person to identify any active colors that do not have lead-free formula alternatives and to request lead-free matches ahead of the discontinuation date. Thank you for your support as we drive to more environmentally conscious products.
