Getting the proper sealer film build down in one coat is key to maintaining productivity, appearance, and performance. Therefore, it’s important to use the proper gun and fluid tip to achieve this.
Using an old basecoat or clearcoat gun may not provide enough fluid flow to allow the sealer to lay down smooth and flat for a slicker overall paint job (remember, the basecoat will mimic what it’s sprayed over!)
Not getting enough sealer down in one coat may mean an additional coat is needed – and that’s a loss of production! Proper film build is also critical for film performance, especially when spraying sealer direct to e-coat parts without sanding or abrading.
So don’t underestimate the importance of a good sealer gun! A quality paint job will keep your customers happy and money in your pocket!
