Did you know that in some situations, when an older vehicle color was used as both an exterior color (Body) and accent color (Trim), the color chip can be found in the Accent Deck? How will you know? Look for the “A”.

Check out the example below:

  • Search for 4M7 in the OEM/Brand Code box
  • Select Toyota Oyster Pearl and then the DELTRON 2000 DBC Met formula
  • Take a look at the designation in the Colorbox location on the PaintManager® software.
  • If an “A” is before the Manufacturer Deck code, as in the picture below, then the color chip will be found in the Accent Deck.

Un-activated, reduced waterborne paint from a job can be stored up to 90 days in a tightly sealed plastic container.  Be sure to record the date of the mix on the container and remember - no metal cans!!  Before spraying this leftover paint, be sure to check viscosity. Proper spray viscosity should be between 23-28 seconds with a DIN4 cup. Gently hand-shake the paint before use. Do not place toners or mixed color on shaker or mechanically agitate. Using all of your mixed paint will reduce material costs and lower your waste disposal expenses.
