Cold Weather Shipping Fall/Winter 2020

Dear valued PPG Customer,

It’s that time of year where the temperatures continue to drop below freezing for extended periods of time so we will begin wrapping the freezable portions of orders when appropriate depending upon length of transit time, forecasted temperature ranges for the given shipping date and overall outside temperature range for several days prior to the shipment. On routes where heated equipment is available we might not wrap anything depending on transit time and number of times the order will be transferred from terminal to terminal.

We strongly encourage you to review demand for all of you water-borne and items that cannot freeze to order ahead of forecasted cold-snaps and periods of uncertainty such as the holidays. LTL and Parcel transportation is still impacted by the surges that the industry began experiencing with the COVID-19 pandemic so some delays can be still be experienced. Depending upon your location and the truck-line equipment deployed, we may not ship your order 1 - 2 days prior to the weekend or holidays. If you are concerned about when or if something should be shipped just call us and we will do everything we can to provide exact information about the ship-date and days expected in transit. As stated earlier, the transportation industry overall is still in flux so times may not be consistent; however, we will do what we can to ensure the timeliness of your shipment to the best of our capability.
